It is now less than 3 weeks before Inverness half marathon on 13th March and start of long distance walk the following day. Although the weather was pretty dire at the weekend I took the opportunity to go to Killin and the Falls of Dochart to take some photographs and break in my boots and was blessed with the falls in full flow and a sprinkling of snow admist the constant downpours.
Here are a few of the shots
After the falls took a long walk along Loch Tay and back to Killin, have done this walk before as part of the Rob Roy Way, quite an undulating road but not much traffic.
Over the last couple of weekends have increased running mileage up to 16 miles with a time equivalent to a marathon time of my target time of 4hrs! If I achieved that I would be delighted, I also did the Pollok Park Parkrun for the first time ( A very soggy encounter) and much tougher than Strathclyde my normal prakrun location. Combined with gym sessions my weight is being nudged down. If you have the time or inclination here is a link for the Pollok Park parkrun, I will appear in the shots for 13th Februaury which are at the start and about 20 pictures in
As far as the fundraising goes I am now at 55% (£550) and hoping to get to 75% before the start of the John Muir Way. As always all your donations and messages are much appreciated and you can add to my total by following this link.
So folks I will see you again in a few weeks at the start of part 1 the John Muir Way................
